# Reward routing can look like buying

The median positive CRV address receipt is $63. After tracing purchases, the median buy is $874.

A harvest transaction can send CRV to a treasury or reward distributor while also making a swap. A positive address balance change inside that transaction need not be a purchase.

Following tokens through routing contracts helps identify the buyer. It separates purchases from these other receipts.

## A positive token receipt is not always a purchase

Median USD size before and after ordered pro-rata trade tracing. Refinement removes reward routing and transparent intermediaries, reattributes flows, and retains unresolved boundaries separately. The difference is not entirely reward routing. Both medians use their own retained observation population.
